THE PEACH PROJECT
$10 cover, includes free house drink

peach project

The Peach Project is a six piece band  comprised of some of the tri-state areas premier musicians performing a tribute to the music of The Allman Brothers Band. The band's members, individually and collectively, posess the instrumental and vocal fire, creativity, and musical professionalism to render the music with the electricity, emotion and nuance of the original.  Response to their live shows has been ecstatic and their fan base is growing rapidly.  Older fans who were there at the Fillmore East in 1971 when it all began, as well as the younger generation of ABB fans who frequent the "jam band" scene have been moved by the Peach Project's authentic and passionate renderings of ABB classics.

Members of The Peach Project
Ray Longchamp
Ray Longchamp has been playing, teaching, and recording in the tri-state area for thirty years. He has recorded with such diverse artists as jazz great John Pizzarelli and 60's icon Tommy James (Shondells).  He currently tours intermittently with the classic 60's hitmakers Jay and the Americans.  The Allman Brothers were among his earliest and greatest guitar influences- he practically wore the grooves out of Live at the Fillmore and Eat a Peach.

Gregg D. Hollister
Gregg Hollister is a virtuoso bass player and singer whose talents keep him in steady demand in performance and studios. He has done extensive work in TV, film and radio and worked with producers such as Andrew Loog Oldham, Phil Ramone, and Al Kooper. He has performed, toured and recorded with Phoebe Snow, Richie Havens, and Paul Schaeffer among many others.

Tom Hammer
Tom Hammer's keyboard and production skills are in high demand. He has worked and written for artists such as Cindy Lauper, toured with The Family Stand, and done extensive music and video composition and production for ESPN.  The ABB classic Brothers and Sisters, which prominently featured Chuck Leavell, was a significant early influence and inspiration.

Jim Perrini
Jim Perrini is a fiery and tasteful guitarist who has been working steadily in prominent local bands for decades.  He also writes and produces original music from his home studio.  His guitar and slide guitar styles were influenced greatly early on by the ABB and he has the distinction among Peach Project members of being at the Fillmore East shows (driven there by a friend's parent). He has opened for such artists as Edgar Winter, Badfinger, and Robbie Krieger.

Glenn MacDermott
Glenn MacDermott's vocal style bears an uncanny resemblance to Gregg Allman's- not surprising as the ABB were a large influence.  Glenn is a multi- instrumentalist - equally comfortable on organ, piano, bass, guitar, or drums.  He has performed in top area bands for years, often with a southern rock or blues format, and has opened for such artists as Gregg Allman, Roy Buchanon and the Marshall Tucker Band.

Frank Colonnato
Drummer Frank Colonnato comes from a deep jazz background.  He studied early on with some major jazz luminaries and later wrote instructional books that are still used wordwide.  Early heroes were (are) Steve Gadd and Tony Williams.  Bringing his style to the improvisational jazz-rock-blues mix that comprises the music of the ABB has been a rewarding creative journey. He is currently the proprietor of the Long Island Drum Company in Nyack N.Y.

Temple Hill and Jon Turco Band

Temple Hill Temple Hill is
grabbing the attention of music fans from around the world and is earning a solid reputation for outstanding, high-energy shows, strong songwriting and superb musicianship. The band's unique Pop/Rock sound is a melding of many different influences and styles - R&B, Rock and Funk to name a few. Beginning with a foundation of rock-inspired, foot-stomping drums and grooving bass lines, Temple Hill adds a hefty dose of funky guitar riffs and finishes it all off with soulful vocals. This musical combination has already brought significant success. Last June, Temple Hill won the Emergenza US East Coast Finals at NYC's Webster Hall and in August headed off to the Taubertal Open Air Festival in Rothenburg, Germany to compete at the Emergenza International finals where they placed 1st in the US and 6th in the world, from a field of over 6,000 bands. Also, tracks from the band's first release, "the Drive Home, " have been featured on the television shows "Boston Legal" and "All My Children."
The band was founded by brothers, JP and Rich Molfetta, who grew up singing Gospel and R&B songs, but came to appreciate the beauty of epic Rock & Roll after the first time they heard "Dream On" by Aerosmith. Inspired to create a Rock band, JP and Rich recruited a few local musicians, including lead guitarist Bobby Studley (2008 Emergenza US East Coast Finals Best Guitarist) and bassist Bryan Spitzer (2008 Emergenza US East Coast Finals Best  Bassist), and began to lay down a few professionally recorded tracks.  Soon after completing the recordings, the band learned of a contest being held by popular radio station K 104.7-FM for a chance to play on stage at K-Fest, the station's annual outdoor concert at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, NY. Taking a chance, the band submitted the tracks to the station and won the contest! Temple Hill's first professional gig was playing in front of thousands of people, as the opener for Good Charlotte!

After K-fest, Temple Hill Revised its roster a few times, finally coming up with the right musical chemistry after the addition of guitarist Jordan Yaeger and drummer Adam Tabas as full-time members. In addition to writing and recording songs for "The Drive Home" which was released last year, the band has played shows all over the NYC metro area, gigging at notable venues like the Knitting Factory, Crash Mansion, Webster Hall and The Bitter End.

Jon turcoJon Turco Band was formed in 2008 as Jon was attempting to record and release his first solo effort. While recruiting a backing band for a live showcase, Jon Turco found a very unique sound with his other band " Grand View". Since 2008 Jon has been hitting the Rockland County, NY and New York City music scenes to the delight of newfound fans with both Jon Turco Band and Grand View. Jon Turco Band is planning extensive touring for the Summer of 2009 - and look out for an album release by August!

Mike's Mission
As I get older I find myself turning to nature for my personal and spiritual growth. My relationship with the natural world is becoming a greater part of my everyday life. I find myself drawn to places of mystery where I can feel at peace with the power of the earth's spirit.

Over the years I have learned to use my photography and painting to express my passion for nature. It is my mission to communicate the mysterious connection I feel when photographing and painting nature's creations. I hope viewing my work gives you the same emotional response I feel when creating it.

Through my photography you will see the beauty of our world. As you view each photograph, I strive to show you this world through my eyes. Enjoy the photography, but I challenge you to do more. I challenge you to go out and experience the wonders of nature for yourself! You will find it is worth protecting, and it is worth preserving!

The Flying Obersons

The range of music the Flying Obersons have been performing in the NY/NJ metropolitan area is amazingly expansive due to the vast amounts of material they have been gathering for a collective 100 years or so. At any given show they may perform Classic Rock, R&B, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Country and Pop. Some of these songs are played near note for note and then some are given a fresh new direction. This band entertains, has a lot of fun, and kicks ass, and it resonates clearly through to the audience. They are filling a gap in the local music scene as well, by shying away from a lot of the overplayed songs and taking on some of the more challenging, less played commercial songs usually associated with club bands. In the spring of 2009 they will introduce the addition of the " PERFECT ALBUM SIDE ' concept. It is sure to be a unique experience usually played as all or part of the 2 nd set. The band will select an artist and album / side and perform it sometimes with local " special guest " appearances. They also write and perform original tunes as well. As music is part of their life's blood the band wants their audience to appreciate each show as an event where old friends and new ones can get together and let loose for a short while and enjoy what they love to do. So it goes, come on out and support the arts. The Flying Obersons are looking forward to seeing you soon.
