JEREMY
WALL... is a
founding member of Spyro Gyra... Billboard's top jazz
group of the 80s...he has appeared on all 18 of their
records in various roles as composer, producer, arranger
& keyboardist. He was staff arranger for CTI
Records... the granddaddy of all jazz fusion labels...
for 3 years. He's been in demand as producer, arranger
& keyboardist on top album projects in the jazz, pop
& classical fields since 1978. With over 60 of his
compositions released on records & CDs, he ranks as
one of the premier composers in contemporary jazz. His 2
solo releases... "Cool Running" & "Stepping to the
New World" ... were chart-topping NAC radio
hits. Spyro Gyra's "Morning Dance" album... nearing
two million sold... was paced by Wall's 4 compositions.
Of the 4 videos released by the group, 2 were based on
his tunes. His composition "Shakedown" received a 1987
Grammy nomination for Best Pop Instrumental. In all, 38
of Wall's compositions have appeared on the 6 million
units the group has sold over the years. He also
produced 7 highly acclaimed crossover records with
Richard Stolzman, the premiere classical clarinetist in
the world. The album... "Begin Sweet World"...was cited
by Stereo Review as the top classical crossover record
of the year. Wall's career runs the gamut from
barroom Blues to Carnegie Hall. He has produced &
arranged records with pop singers like Astrud Gilberto,
Patti Austin & Judy Collins. He has collaborated
with jazz legends Stanley Clarke, Gary Burton, John
McLaughlin & Tony Williams & he's logged
numerous sessions with Steve Gadd, Will Lee & Marcus
Miller. In 1994 his song..."Summer Strut"... was chosen
as the theme music for the Regis & Kathy Lee Show...
in 1998 he produced, composed, arranged & performed
the theme music for an NBC Sports series. Jeremy
has taught at Ramapo College & SUNY Purchase &
is currently an associate music professor at SUNY

ERIK
LAWRENCE plays saxophones &
flutes... he began playing sax at 5 years old under the
guidance of his father, Rock & Roll Guru Arnie
Lawrence, jazz musician, founder of the New School of
Jazz in NYC & the International Center for Creative
Music Studies in Jerusalem,... he told Erik to "Play
what you feel." Erik plays in various styles, from
traditional to experimental... in large ensembles to
solos... & he got a Meet-the-Composer Grant for his
writing. Erik teaches jazz saxophone at Williams
College & the Putney School. He has taught
sax, jazz, jazz history, ensembles, & methods
classes at Montclair State U. & Rockland Community
College.... & has taught saxophone & flute to
all ages & improvisation for all instruments for
over 20 years. He has taken his original melodic
& rhythmic approach to Europe... across the US... S.
America... & the Caribbean....he performed solo
improvised saxophone at Carnegie Recital Hall in NY
& has been the featured performer at the World Peace
Festival... performed at the Northsea Jazz, Discover
Jazz, Montreal Jazz, Molde Jazz, Pori Jazz, Porto
Saalfelden Jazz & Moers festivals in Europe... &
the Free Jazz Festival in Brazil, the Falcon Ridge Folk
Festival, Berkshire Jazz Festival &
Bumbershoots. Erik leads & plays with various
ensembles... His sidemen have included Garth Hudson,
Mark Egan, Steven Bernstein, Dave Tronzo, Aaron Comess,
Mark White, Eric Schenkman, Alex Blake, Cameron Brown,
Lonnie Plaxico, John Pizzarelli, Don Gardner, Murali
Coryell; and poets Jane LeCroy, Frank Messina &
many, many others. His current original projects include
HIPMOTISM, featuring Grammy nominee Steven Bernstein
& drummer Allison Miller; MERGE Poetry/Music project
featuring poet Cassandra Cleghorn & Allison
Miller. Erik has performed &/or recorded with the
Levon Helm Band, jazz drummer Chico Hamilton; Steven
Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra; Branford
Marsalis, The Masters of the Groove:featuring Bernard
Purdie, Grant Green Jr. & Reuben Wilson, Neville
Family Affair, Buddy Miles, Elvis Costello & Allen
Toussaint, David Amram, Rickie Lee Jones, Sonny
Sharrock, The Band, The Spin Doctors, John Popper, Bob
Dylan, Joan Osborn, Gillian Welch, Istanbul Orchestra,

commercials.... & he's played on a long list of

Bassist/vocalist JOHN ARBO was a voice
major at Manhattan School of Music where he studied with
Metropolitan Opera tenor Gabor Carelli. Active on
both upright and fretted and fretless electric basses,
he has been the bassist for Les Paul and is a veteran of
the Woody Herman Band - he toured with Woody in the
early '80's. He's worked with many singers including
Susannah McCorkle, Nell Carter, Tom Wopat, Ann
Hampton Callaway and Nancy LaMott, and has toured
with Liza Minnelli and presently Tony Danza. John has
also had the bass chair at many B'way shows including
"Cyrano", "Miss Saigon", "42nd St"., "Good Vibrations"
and "The Producers." As a singer, he toured and
recorded for 7 years as the baritone with the New York
Vocal Arts Ensemble - a classical vocal quartet -
including appearances at the Kennedy Center, Alice
Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, Dumbarton Oaks and other
leading halls in the Americas and Europe. He can also be
heard in the Spanish-language version of the Radio City
Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. He recently
appeared in the role of Jonas Fogg (and played the bass)
in the critically acclaimed Broadway revival of "Sweeney
Todd". John teaches bass at New School University in
NYC and is the autho of the eMedia Bass Method, an
instructional DVD/CD
